Chief Minister Vijay  Bahuguna said that effective measures had to be initiated to check Tax evasion  in the state. He also laid emphasis on looking for the means to increase  revenue generation. He said that the office of a nodal officer had been set up  in Dehradun for speedy solution of issues pertaining to forest land transfer.
Chief Minister chairing a  meeting at Circuit House on Thursday asked the officers of Peyjal Department  and PWD to furnish details of various projects through area MLAs so that they  could be completed in time. He asked them to maintain coordination with the  District Magistrate for expediting the completion process of the projects.  Reviewing the works of Power Department, the Chief Minister instructed the  concerned officers to speed up the process of providing power connection to the  consumers and replacing defunct electric poles.
During the review of Heath Department,  Mr. Bahuguna, taking note of comprehensive report on health services provided  to the general public, asked the Chief Medical Officer to provide maximum  medical facilities to the public under National Rural Health Mission. He  instructed the officers of the Social Welfare Department to maintain exact  statistics of pension beneficiaries and organize camps on regular basis at  Development Blocks so that maximum number of beneficiaries availed of the  pension facilities. Scrutinizing the quota of kerosene and food grains, Mr.  Bahuguna asked the District Supply Officer to visit rural areas to find out the  exact situation. He asked the Mandal Commissioners to review the departmental  works on their levels so that public grievances could be resolved in time. 
Chief Minister Bahuguna said  in a bid to curb corruption Vigilance Cell would be set up in every department.  He asked the officers to maintain coordination with the public representatives  and work without any pressure.
The meeting was attended by  DIG GS Martolia, SP Sunil Kumar Meena, Joint Magistrate Raghav Langar,  Additional District Magistrate Rajiv Shah, SDM Ajay Arora, Chief Development  Officer SSS Pangtey, CMO Dr. RS Sahi, Chief Engineer PWD KC Upreti and other  departmental officers.
Earlier, Chief Minister  Bahuguna addressing the party workers called on the party workers to work in a  discipline manner to take the state to the path of development. He said that  the sentiments of party workers would be given importance. 
Assembly Speaker Govind  Singh Kunjwal urged the party workers to remain united and work for the  development of the state. Revenue Minister Yashpal Arya said that it was only  due to the joint effort of all that development of the state was possible.  Also present on the occasion were MLAs Manoj  Tiwari, Madan Bisht, Congress Leaders Rajendra Barakoti and Anand Singh Rawat
